ADD GRUP’s partner on Brazilian market - ITRON Corporation (USA) has started in the end of year 2007 the installation of ADDAX IMS pilot project in the distribution networks of LIGHT Servicios De Electricitade.
Being one of the biggest electrical distribution companies in Brazil, Light’s customer base counts today more than 3.8 mln. people. The deployment of ADDAX IMS project was initiated within the frames of the anti tampering campaign. During last year, around 290 000 electrical energy tampering cases were detected. Another reason for the deployment of ADDAX IMS was the automation of the Energy Consumption Management.
The implemented solution is based on PLC communications, which allows reducing considerably communications costs.
Itron Corporation, owing to the fact of acquisition in 2007 of ELO SISTEMAS E TECNOLOGIA LTDA, possesses the license for the manufacture of ADDAX equipment in the territory of Brazil. This fact allows direct shipment of equipment to Brazilian customers, from Itron’s factory in Brazil.
So far 40 000 meters and 1000 Routers have been installed with the possibility of further on roll out of the project.

On the 18-19 of November 2007 in Slovakia, city of Piestany, the “Energoforum 2007” conference took place. It was dedicated to the different issues in Power Industry, such as:

During the exhibition Metering & Billing/CRM Europe 2007 in Vienna ADD GRUP has presented the general concept of the new, seventh version of ADDAX IMS. The presentation of the new version can be found here. The main principle of the seventh version is the support of DLMS/COSEM over TCP/IP by all devices in ADDAX.Net. Besides, ADD GRUP continues to enlarge the possibilities of data communication through MV-networks. There is a growing interest of energy distribution enterprises regarding MV-communications due to its functionality and cost efficiency.

Also within the conference Metering Europe 2007 Jan Berglund, AMR Manager of Swedish utility company Jämtkraft, has presented a report about the implementation of AMI solutions by SAMS consortium.

ADDAX IMS pilot project covering 700 metering points has been installed in the end of August on the networks of energy distribution company E.ON Czechia, not far from Brno. The system is based on LV PLC communication (on the lower level) and GSM communication (on the upper level).
The energy distribution company E.ON plans in the coming time to become one of the European leaders in the implementation of AMM-systems. With this view, the launch of remote metering systems of different producers, including ADD GRUP, continues on the networks of the company.

The deployment of ADDAX IMS projects in Indonesia continues. At the moment 5305 metering points have been installed in 5 electricity distribution companies – Distribusi Jakarta Raya & Tangerang, Distribusi Jawa Timur, Wilayah Sulserabar, Wilayah S2JB, Wilayah Kalimantan Timur.
For the period of 2007-2008 the deployment of approximately 6700 metering points is planned. The major project will be implemented in the nearest future on the networks of Distribusi Jakarta Raya & Tangerang and amounts nearly 6000 new metering points. The project has to be accomplished in 3 stages, and similarly to all other ADDAX implementations in Indonesia the systems are based on LV & MV PLC and GSM communication channels.

At the present time on the electricity networks of “Karlskoga Elnät AB” utility the newest project for the installation of ADDAX IMS system, developed by ADD GRUP, on Swedish market takes place. The contract was signed between ADD GRUP’s distributor on Swedish market - TC Connect, and “Karlskoga Elnät AB”. The shipments of the electricity meters have already started and we are proud to announce that ADD GRUP’s 1 000 000 meter was installed exactly in this project! On the 23-rd of July 2007 ADD GRUP’s distributor in Sweden, TC Connect, has signed a new contract for the installation of an AMI project.
15 000 metering points belonging to the Swedish utility “Karlskoga Elnät AB” will be equipped with ADDAX IMS electricity meters. With reliable communications via the MV network, the project will have low installation costs and will prove economical efficiency during operation.

“Karlskoga Elnät AB” is also one of the first utilities in Sweden to integrate heat meters into the ADDAX IMS system. 2 300 heat meters will be integrated into the same AMI system, together with the electricity meters. The integration is performed with the help of a special communication device AIU (ADDAX Interface Unit), developed by ADD GRUP. AIU allows integration of heat, water and gas meters of other manufacturers into one system. With data transmission purpose AIU can be equipped either with PL-modem or RF-channel that allows data transmission via LV PL or radio frequency. The AIU will communicate with the Center trough the routers, used in the electricity metering system, which allows avoiding the fees for the use GSM/GPRS channels.

The installation has already started and will go on till the end of the year 2008.

Between 27th and 30th of March, Transtech company, ADD GRUP’s official distributor in Slovakia and Czech Republic, has taken part in the exhibition AMPER 2007.
AMPER is an international fair for electronics and electrotechnics. The event is organized for the 15th time and this year it brought together more than 800 exhibitors from 23 countries and more than 49 000 visitors.
During the event Transtech have presented the current version of SMART IMS system (the new name is ADDAX IMS) and the new developments as well.

Another ADDAX IMS project will be installed in Sweden, in Ale. The project is being implemented in the networks of the local utility Ale Elförening, which enters SAMS consortium. Unlike other Swedish projects, based on MV communications, in this case will be used the GPRS channel between the router and the Center. In the near future it is planned to install 300 metering points. In the case of success an enlargement to 6500 metering points is expected.

In the beginning of March, ADDAX IMS equipment has been installed in Narva, in the north-east of Estonia. The pilot project of 300 metering points was launched on the electricity networks of VKG Elektrivõrgud distribution company. The decision on the enlargement of the AMI-project in Narva has been already taken.

ADD GRUP’s distributor in Sweden, TC Connect signed a new contract for the installation of an AMI project based on MV communications.
The deal was concluded with Harryda Energi, the utility located in Harryda municipality, near to Gothenburg. The project counts 11500 metering points (mainly three-phase) and will cover the whole area network of Harryda Energi.
The installation of the system is planned for the autumn of 2007.

ADD PRODUCTION has received (23.01.2007) an ASSESSMENT DECISION issued by Notified Body № 0402 regarding QUALITY ASSURANCE ON THE PRODUCTION PROCESS. This decision was taken by SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden as a result of inspection of the ADD PRODUCTION factory in the early January 2007.
The validity of the present Сertificate is until the 31-st of January 2017.

The strategic partnership between ADD Bulgaria and EVN (Austria) was consolidated by a new contract for 12 000 metering points.

The first contract with the subdivision of the Austrian utility in Bulgaria – EVN Bulgaria was signed in 2003. At present, the total number of meters comes to 15 000 pcs.

The new project will be implemented in the electrical networks of 6 cities in the southern part of Bulgaria: Plovdiv, Pazardjik, Stara Zagora, Yambol, Sliven and Burgas.

Transtech a.s., distributor of ADD GRUP, has participated at ELO SYS 2006 – international fair in the field of electrical engineering, electronics and power engineering, which took place on 10th-13th of October in Trencin, Slovak Republic. Transtech has presented on the fair the SMART IMS equipment. It is the first presentation of ADD GRUP products on the Slovak market.

TC Connect, the distributor of ADD GRUP, continues the implementation of the ADDAX-based AMR-Systems on the Swedish utilities networks. Within SAMS project there are:

• 10 000 meters in Umeå Energi (installed of a total of 50 000 meters);
  
• 5 000 meters in Sundsvall Elnät (installed of a total of 35 000 meters);
  
• 3 000 meters in Ljusdal Elnät (installed of a total of 4 500 meters);
  
• 500 meters in BTEA(installed of a total of 7 000 meters).

On the 10-12 of October ADD GRUP has participated at the international exhibition “Metering, Billing, CRM/CIS Europe 2006” in Copenhagen. Besides that, ADD GRUP was one of the sponsors of this exhibition. A large number of discussions with European utility companies, as well as with producers of IT-solutions in the field of metering were held. On 10 October, within the conference part of the exhibition, Elena Turanskaya, ADD GRUP Executive Director, has carried on the presentation “Data Transfer Networks’ Topology for AMM Systems”- a comprehensive and captivating description of the ADD GRUP vision over the AMM systems, which has wakened a vital interest of the audience.

Two new contracts were signed in Brazil, one with CELPE and the other one with CEMAR. This new project with CELPE is located in the Island of Fernando de Noronha, one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in Brazil. CELPE is currently using SmartIMS metering points in the city of Recife.

CEMAR is a new, perspective project. The initial stage is 4,000 end-points, and an upgrade in quantities is planned for 2007.

Quality Management System is implemented, certified and now successfully works in the ADD-PRODUCTION Company – self-dependent Production Department of the ADD GRUP. The System covers all the production and subsidiary processes of the Company.

Summarizing the results of certified audit, carried out by the group of TUV SERT auditors, the ADD PRODUCTION (ADD GRUP Company Production subdivision) is recommended for obtaining the Certificate on conformity of the quality management system to ISO 9001:2000 International Standard requirements.

ADD GRUP Company celebrates the 14-th anniversary from its foundation.

The deliveries of three-phase meters for AES Electlropaulo (Brazil) continue in accordance with the contracts signed in October 2005. Besides that, in December a new contract with this Company was signed for 3.500 single-phase ADDAX meters. Negotiations on new large-scale deliveries in 2006 are in progress.

Installation and putting into pilot operation of the AMR-systems, developed on the base of the ADDAX technologies, is continued in some Swedish towns. During the November 2005, the AMR-systems have been installed in the following towns:

• KVANUM (3700 metering points)


• GRASTORP (4200 metering points)


• HERRLJUNGA (5000 metering points)


• VASTERVIK (3000 metering points)

ADD GRUP has signed a Contract with several Brazilian distributing Companies for the delivery of 3-phase meters for electrical energy. AES Electlropaulo (AES GROUP USA) signed a contract for the equipping of 15 000 metering points with ADDAX meters. This is the first large-scale ADD GRUP project in South America. Two other contracts were signed by COELBA and CELPE (subsidiaries of the Iberdrola Spanish Company) for 6 000 and respectively 2 500 metering points.

The Russian factory Matrix started the mass production of single-phase meters, based on ADDAX technology. The first products got off from the conveyor at the end of April. The meters were tested by ADD GRUP's specialists and 100% compliance to international standards was proven.

For the beginning of June the start of three-phase meters mass production is planned.

On 25th of April 2005, ADD GRUP signed a new License Agreement with the Turkish company Barmec Holding. This contract provides the transmission of ADDAX technology for the production of digital meters and accessories.

With this contract in its hands, Barmec will have the rights to produce meters on the territory of Turkey and Azerbaijan.

Tests of single-phase (NP515) and three-phase (NP580) electric energy meters, manufactured by ADD GRUP Company, were completed successfully in SP Swedish National Testing and Research Institute (BORAS, SWEDEN, www.sp.se). This is not a single case of successful certification of ADDAX meters in Sweden. The first Swedish certificate for our three-phase meter (NP58) was received in 2004.

In January 2005 a new meter reading project for 4200 metering points was installed in Indonesia. PLN - the host utility is in the stage of equipment testing at this moment. The project contains single-phase and three-phase residential meters and three-phase CT meters to control balance at given segments. It is meant to reduce technical and non-technical losses, which is the main problem in Indonesia.

ADD GRUP Company celebrates the 13-th anniversary from its foundation.

TeleTec (Odessa, Ukraine) is the first factory opened on the base of ADDAX technology, under the license of ADD GRUP. Recently it has started functioning and the first several thousands single-phase meters have been already shipped to TeleTec's customer. TeleTec is planning to start production of three phase meters in early march, 2005. All of the products based on ADDAX technology, which TeleTec is going to manufacture have already been certified and approved in Ukraine.

The next group of engineers has passed 5-day training course in the central office of ADD GRUP company. This time our partners, Bulgarian power engineers (Stara Zagora, Pazardjik) got to know the basics of ADDAX IMS operation.

ADDAX IMS has overcome the next important stage. In August - September, 2004 ADD GRUP company successfully carried out internal tests of the new communication equipment enabling to incorporate the meters and other devices that initially did not support PLC. Well considered interface set allows incorporating many gas, water and heat meters in the system without any updating.

Another License Agreement was signed on 17th of July with Matrix (Matrita OOO). Starting with August 2004 their factory in Russia will produce high-quality digital meters with ADDAX technology inside.

A new contract with a Swedish customer was signed in June 2004. Based on this contract ADD GRUP will supply the SMART IMS system to Vallebyggden. The distinctive particularity of this project is the MV communication, which will decrease the exploitation costs.

During firsts days of April a License Agreement with Gamma International (Egypt) was signed. The Egyptian company has now the right to produce meters with ADDAX technology inside for Middle East.

Last week a License Agreement with Telecommunications Technology LTD (Ukraine) was signed. Our new Ukrainian partner will produce meters based on ADDAX technology.

Another Licence Agreement was signed during the visit of our partners ELO SISTEMAS E TECNOLOGIA LTDA (Brazil). ELO got the right to produce meters with ADDAX technology inside, in the territory of Brazil.

Our filial branch in Ukraine - ADD Energia, won two more tenders. The tenders were organized by two Ukrainian distribution companies - "Vinita Oblenergo" and Kirovograd Oblenergo" for the quantity of 10 000 metering points each.

On 19th of February 2004 the first License Agreement was signed with Pulse Utilities (New Zealand). After several days of negotiations with James Martin (CEO) the Agreement, which authorizes Pulse Utilities to produce meters with ADDAX technology inside in Australia and New Zealand was signed.

On 15.02.04 the regular Smart IMS pilot project started in the SEWA Company (United Arab Emirates). Installed by Prestige Supplies & Service.

Tests of the Three-Phase Meter for electrical energy NP58-D4P10ATV - the part of Smart IMS, carried out at the SP Swedish National Testing and Research Institute (BORAS, SWEDEN, www.sp.se), are completed successfully.

"ADD GRUP" s.r.l. started working in Uzbekistan. All the meters have successfully passed all the certification tests. In February year 2004 will be implemented a pilot project for 500 metering points (single phase and three phase meters).

One of "ADD GRUP" S.R.L branches - "ADD GRUP Energiya" (Ukrain), has won the tender for the supply of 10 000 meters to the Ukrainian distribution company "Jitomir oblenergo". 200 000 meters (Smart IMS, version 3) have been already installed in Ukraine. In "Jitomir oblenergo" will be installed the 5 (fifth) version of the system. The fifth version's technology has been highly improved and at the same time the price became 3 times less!

Today the ADD GRUP Company has celebrated the 12-th anniversary from day of its foundation!

Was signed a Contract for supply to Egypt for the year of 2004. Total quantity of the meters and additional equipment for AMR system is 70 000.

ADD GRUP successfully implemented pilot projects in Finland and Sweden.
