The Centralized Metering System (CMS) is a proactive revenue protection solution, developed by ADD GRUP for regions with a high degree of economic loss in energy distribution and supply sector. The CMS targets two of the most sensitive issues: energy theft and cost efficiency.

A distinctive feature of the CMS is the design of the metering set, which is divided into modules based on functionality criterion:

• Base board (BB) - the main board, carrying up to 12 Metering Modules and the Net Node;
• Metering modules (MM)- single-phase meters, which can be combined to form poly-phase meters;
• Net node (NN) - responsible for MM operation management and synchronyzation; the NN is equipped with PLC and GSM/GPRS modems for data-exchange with a remote operator;
• Customer interface units (CIU) - displays or CIUs with keypad (for Prepayment solutions, based on STS)

The CMS fights fraud efficiently and in a proactive manner, preventing theft and not only identifying and tracing it.
The CMS includes communication equipment for data exchange with the control centre, thus enabling reliable data collection with limited to no involvement of the human factor. It also integrates a prepayment feature, based on STS specifications, which guarantees money collection from bad payers.
The modular design brings down the hardware and the maintenance costs, while the employment of LV and MV PLC decreases the expenses for data collection.
